Markilux & Weinor Awnings
Roché distribute the world’s best quality patio canopies and awnings across Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana and other African countries. We work closely with leading German brands Markilux and Weinor to design bespoke shading solutions for the domestic, commercial, education and hospitality markets.
All awnings are engineered in state-of-the-art facilities in Germany and exported to Africa. Roché has an African sister company based in Lagos, Nigeria, and we are therefore experienced with working across the continent.
All products are made-to-measure and we offer complete control over fabrics, colours, sizing and operation methods. The range includes wall-mounted retractable patio awnings, veranda and freestanding awnings (sometimes called sun canopies) which have a fixed framework, and conservatory / vertical awnings, which act as external window blinds. All provide comfort, shading and climate control. This means their uses span everything from car ports and car parking shades, to protection as playground covers on schools. Restaurants can extend their floorspace with an outdoor covered dining area, while protection on walkways or outdoor storage areas can assist the retail sector. Some even choose to make a statement with the awnings on their home.
All awnings are made to order. Speak to the Roché team for more information on any of the products below.

We understand day-to-day living across Africa is dependent on reliable sun protection, and therefore all fabrics are UPF rated. Most of Markilux and Weinor’s fabrics have achieved the highest possible UPF rating of 50+. This means the fabric blocks 98% of UV radiation and offers 50 times more protection than if you were exposed to the sun. Convenient control options include manual, and electric switches, remote controls and sun sensors provide flexibility with operation.
