One of the most well-known gardeners in South Shropshire because of his colourful van, Floyd from The Real Gardener has many years of formal gardening, which has now evolved into a more relaxed gardener.
After three years in Europe working as a gang Forman, he returned to Shropshire to tackle an exciting project to create a woodland walk through our secret hills in Clun, Shropshire which evolved in to his present business, A Real Gardener.

Richard has devoted his entire life to his passion for plants and gardening, leading him to explore various aspects of the industry and amass a remarkable depth of horticultural expertise. Upon completing his Biology degree at Southampton University, he embarked on a journey with Hilliers, where he was deeply influenced by the exceptional knowledge and expertise of their renowned plantsmen, including Roy Lancaster.

Steven doesn’t actually have a blog but we wanted to feature his Instagramas it gives you a great glimpse into the life of a head gardener with images of Stretton Hall Gardens, a beautiful 8 acre garden in Cheshire. Having recently been crowned Channel 4 Garden of The Year for 2022, it is a must see with mixed herbaceous borders, a scree garden, a walled kitchen garden and our stunning louvred roof designs.
